Porto wine is a fortified wine, with added brandy to stop the fermentation process. This way, the sugar which doesn't turn into alcohol remains pure wine, giving it its characteristic sweet taste while being matured in oak barrels. After preparation, the barrel is emptied so that the taste and smell of the port remains in the wood.

These Porto Wine barrels are turned into smoking wood chips which unite the quality oak with the great character of this fabulous wine. The final result is an ideal complement to cooked food on grills and gas ovens.
