If you are or have the 700 series BIG Grill head then you will not need this additional power supply as your 500 series Side burner will connect directly to your 700 series grill head. 

This Power supply is required if you are using the burner alongside a different model Built in series. 

Used as an independent power source if used with a non BIG grill model.
